Minimum of €11,040 must be transferred to the Portuguese bank account prior to application. In case of adding any dependents, this amount will increase.

✓ Criminal Record Certificate: For each applicant aged 16 or older, a criminal record certificate from the country where you’ve latest resided for at least one year is required.
✓ Proof of Address: Provide a copy of your driver’s license, a recent utility bill, or a recent bank statement (for the main applicant).

The whole process takes on average 9 months from the beginning. From the application date, the Consulate has 90 days to provide a decision, which being favourable grants 120 days temporary visa in your passport. Within this period, you must apply for a residence permit in Portugal, which takes up to 90 days to be issued.
