The Portugal D7 Visa (also known as Portugal Passive Income Visa) is ideal for non-EU/EEA members who have a regular passive income that will ensure the basic financial means to live in Portugal.
Portugal D7 Visa Income Requirements:
The minimum passive income varies according to the number of family members of the applicant’s household:
- Main applicant: €920 per month
- Other household adults: Additional €460 for each per month
- Minors: Additional €276 for each per month
- Eligible passive income includes: Rental, Pension, Copyrights, Dividends, but not Salary Income
Portugal D7 Visa Deposit Requirement:
Minimum of €11,040 must be transferred to the Portuguese bank account prior to application. In case of adding any dependents, this amount will increase.

- For each minors: Additional €3,312

Application Procedures for Portugal D7/ D8 Visa
Step 1 – Schedule an appointment with the Portuguese Embassy or Consulate of your country of residence.
Provide necessary documents at the appointment.
Step 2 – Get a temporary visa
This visa is valid for 120 days and allows you to legally travel to Portugal and prepare for the second step of the procedure.
Step 3 – Get appointment with the Portuguese immigration officer
You will do your biometric at this appointment as well.
Step 4 – Get Residence Cards
Your approval and residence card will be ready in around 1-2 month’s time, where it will be mailed to your Portuguese address.
